Obituary of Jerry Lee Denmark
On Saturday, January 30, 2021, Jerry Lee Denmark, loving husband and father passed away at the Cates Hospice of Marion County at the age of 70.
Jerry was born on March 25, 1950 in Ocala, Florida to James G. & Dixie Denmark. Jerry Denmark is survived by Stella “Star” Denmark, Belleview, FL, two Daughters Jennifer Whitmore, Belleview, FL, Marissa Patterson, Ocala, FL, Three Stepchildren Michael McEldowney, Callahan, FL, Corrinna Cochran, Summerfield, Justin McEldowney, Belleview, FL (Deceased), 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Jerry is also survived by six sisters: Martha, Aileen, Pat, Carol, Cyndi, Betty, Brother James (deceased) and many nieces & nephews.
Jerry was a big man with a big heart, a dear friend to all who knew him. Jerry loved God, Country, and Family. Jerry enjoyed good food, dining out with his wife, old classic movies, and John Wayne.
Jerry began his Law Enforcement Career at Lowell Prison in Stark, FL before joining the Marion County Sheriff Department, where he was hired on by Sheriff Don Moreland (Retired). Jerry retired from Law Enforcement after 27 years of Service.
A grave side Memorial Service will be held at Highland Memorial Park following a Marion County Sheriff Office escort on Friday, February 5 at 2pm.
