My thoughts and prayers are with you, Gary and all of your family. Tears came to my eyes when Denise told me how sick Laura had been. May all the wonderful memories of 50 years give you great comfort today, tomorrow and all the days ahead. I will remember her smile and laugh and think about how fortunate I was to have had her in my life. God Bless all.

Our sincere condolences to the Zwayer family. I hope this picture is appropriate, this is how I remember Laura, always smiling, always enjoyed having fun in "The Fishbowl" in Pennecamp in The Villages. From the very first time I met Laura, she made us welcome to the neighborhood and always greeted us with a big smile. We will miss you. God bless.

We have so many wonderful memories of Laura, a great friend of our lives, in lake country and Western Springs. I think about chocolate chip cookies, her beautiful Christmas dinner tables, sitting on the back porch sipping pumpkin spice coffee in the late fall. Laura's zest for life and her kind heart made her one of the loveliest people I ever knew. She was warm, kind, funny, enthusiastic, and unafraid to try new things. I feel very fortunate to have met her, her family, and friends. Goodbye dear friend, I will miss you.

I remember the laughter and the love.....dinner parties with the all neighbors and her infectious laugh, the one night performance of the Jewel Sisters for a special birthday celebration, a night on the mobile porch as the plans were born for the 1st "The Trailer Trash Party", watching Barb gargle Tequila and trying to figure out "who the fuck Alice was" (and that was the only time I remember her saying the "F" word). All the nights we keep Lorraine up, while laughing on the porch at the mobile. Watching "the diamonds sparkle on the water" in the late afternoons and enjoying the intoxicating experience of being wrapped in "liquid velvet" water on the many swims on "Chain Dancer". Drinking mojitos from a "fish bowl"; enjoying music at "the Harbor" and noodling with "the family" from Arizona.
Laura was always there when I needed a girlfriend to talk me through a problem and was my partner in crime planning the "next event" to occur in "the hood" where we spent precious moments and created wonderful memories in Waupaca.
Laura was a beautiful woman, a fierce friend, tender hearted, had an excellent sense of humor, loved to spend time with her family and friends. I am so grateful to have called her my friend and blessed to have to been part of her life.

Laura, so beautiful inside and out. She and Gary always a united front. Together, ever present for and doting upon loved ones. My parents were always so impressed, would have been forever grateful, and also would have truly grieved this momentous loss. Prayers and memories, and my most heartfelt sympathies to all.
