My condolences to "Ring's" family. What a guy. I will always remember his laugh and how ready he was to share it. I was super touched when, after 22 years away from home, one of the first people I ran into in Farmington was Bob. His genuine concern for my wellbeing and his delight at my return have often tickled me to recall over the years. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a special envoy to the Farmington kids when the two rival schools suddenly found themselves face to face in the hallways and the classrooms. One of the good guys, our Bob.

We have known Bob since he moved to Wilton in 6th grade, and are so fortunate to have remained friends with he and Shirl forever. Feeling so blessed to have had these dear friends for over 50 years! So many many fun and memorable moments and adventures. We grew up together in Wilton but spent time with the Farmington kids at Titcomb and then Mt Blue HS where again we made lifelong friends that expanded the Wilton group with more awesome people! We were married the same day a year apart so often celebrated that “fateful” day together. Remember when their girls were born, the years Shirl and I worked together in health care settings, monthly dinners out (selected by a different person each month and the desperate attempt by the husbands to spend the “least” amount of money), New Years Eve celebrations with other friends, canoeing on Wilson Lake, taking the kids camping on the ocean and having our baby cry all night so when we opened the tent in the morning, the only tent still nearby was Bob & Shirl (all the other campers must have fled in the night). Bob will be so missed but forever in our memories and hearts. RIP our dear, dear and loved friend!

I am so saddened to read of Bob’s passing. We were classmates and I always enjoyed talking with him. The conversations often made me laugh. Great guy! I remember when my husband and I took our girls to Florida in 1995 and they were on a ride. I was observing. My husband was pointing at people on the ride and I soon learned it was Bob! You will be missed by all who knew you. Prayers to his family!

Very fun guy. Nice memories of Bob and his family and always good to see him on sporadic occasions through the years. I was especially glad to see him once when it was taking a long time to hitchhike home from Boston. He picked me up at Riverside Turnpike exit, said he was on his way to Scarborough Downs and his parents could give me a ride home. Fun time with Ring family for my one and only visit to the Downs. Condolences to Shirlene and the entire family.

He was such a great addition to our Wilton gang of wandering kids. I can still hear his laughter and remember that he was a good friend to everyone. We will miss our friend Ring.

Bob was one of those people that the first time you meet them you feel like you always knew them. He was so genuine and so pleasant to be around. My favorite memory is a family golf outing at Maple Lanes golf club a few years ago. We all had a blast that day and we still talk about it today. Love you Bob; you will be missed but not forgotten.

Just thinking of Bob brings a smile to my face. Happy lunches with the guys at Gritty’s on Tuesdays playing Liar’s Poker and teasing each other. So many hours at the golf courses, The Highlands and Maple Lane. Wonderful memories. We are so sorry for your loss, Earl
