Obituary of Richard Reaves Davis

Richard Reaves Davis, 76, of Silver Springs, Florida went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to William Ray and Cornelia Ray Magee Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Julia Beedle Davis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents William and Cornelia Davis and his stepfather William Glore.

Richard was a Vietnam Veteran of the Air Force and was very proud to have served his country.

He received a Bachelor of Ministry Degree in Religious Education at Baptist Bible Institute, Graceville, Florida. He worked at the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and retired from the Marion County Veterans Services. He enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and The Weather Channel, as well as, seeing the sites of his beloved United States. Richard will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church in Silver Springs where his graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Richard Davis to Veterans Helping Veterans USA, Inc. at 2730 East Silver Springs Blvd, Unit 200, Ocala, Florida 34470.
