Obituary of Dawn E. Fulkerson

Dawn E. Fulkerson, 63, of Ocala passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL. 

She was born July 16, 1957 in Newark, New York and was a graduate of Marion Jr-Sr High School, Marion, New York.  Dawn moved to Florida in 2000 with her family. Before retiring earlier this year, she worked as an Activities Director at The Bridge at Ocala, and enjoyed the time spent with all the residents over the years. Dawn loved being at the beach, going on motorcycle rides and being a “Nana” to her grandchildren.   

Dawn is survived by her two children Foster and Brittany,  grandchildren Serenity, Aiden and Peyton, mother Nora Penisse, sisters Deborah Sullivan, Cynthia (Thomas) Cruse, Deborah Finley, Jodi (Darrenn) VanDeWalle-McComas, Melissa Penisse, Kristine Penisse, Sharr (Mark) Garfield, Carol (Keith) Scott, and brothers Gerald (Ginger) Sullivan, Robert (Christine) Sullivan, Daniel VanDeWalle, Jeffrey VanDeWalle, Bradley Penisse, and many nieces and nephews. 

The family is going to have a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Shalom Park at 10:00 am at the gazebo, All family and friends are welcome to attend and help celebrate Dawn’s life.
