Obituary of Ken Anthony

KENNETH JAMES ANTHONY

(Poppy Claus)

Ken J. Anthony, age 61, tragically passed away September 6, 2020, at Ocala Regional Hospital. He was born October 17, 1958, at Beverly Community Hospital in Montebello, California.

He attended Yucaipa High School until 1976. Following attendance, he served with the US Navy as a Bosun through the years of 1976 to 1980 and after served his second term the years 1982 to 1985. He studied Drafting at the College of Central Florida. He continued to work in construction and was a Safety Manager at Fed-Ex Ground of Ocala. He was a great handyman. He could build and fix many things. He started quilting several years ago and gave multiple creations of his to co-workers at his job. He inspired the community by wearing his Santa suit and becoming Santa Claus through the holidays.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Ralph Anthony and his mother, Sandra Lee Hall-Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Tamora C. Anthony, his children Mark T. Anthony, Christopher M. Carr, Jessica B. Anthony, and Jason J. Anthony. In addition to his children, are his four grandchildren Karma Carr, Payten Maxfield, Ryder Crucian, and Raelyn Crucian. Along with his siblings, his brother Keith Anthony, and his three sisters Kitty Havlu-Anthony, Kimberley Ryals-Anthony, and Karen Brillon-Anthony.

Ken had a passion for the outdoors and quilting. He loved hunting, birdwatching, and he enjoyed watching Disney movies. He was known for his great sense of humor, his quick wit, his infections smile, his kind ways and compassionate spirit. He spent his time influencing others and impacting their lives.  He holds the title of a “Family-Man”. He had a beautiful soul and a generous heart.

 

His remembrance will be held at a later date due to the circumstances.
