Obituary of Cynthia Ann DeWitt

CYNTHIA ANN DeWITT (Cindy), 55 passed on to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Florida. She was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on September 28, 1964 to Paul L. and Carole Phillips. She was also a Graduate of Southwide Academy in Loxahatchee, Florida.

She was predeceased by her father.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John DeWitt of Ocala, Florida and children M. Anthony Finley (Eileen) of Stuart, Florida and Stephanie Naugle (Andrew) of Perkinston, Mississippi, and a Granddaughter Braelyn Rose Finley. She is also survived by her mother and step-father Garland and Carole McKenzie of Ocala, her Mother-in-Law Linda (Cinny) DeWitt and Sister-in-Law Wendy DeWitt of Pt. St. Lucie, Florida.

Cindy was a mother of two but was called mom by many others. She treated all her children’s friends as her own even into adulthood. She was the kind of person that made friends everywhere she went.

Her caring and loving attitude also extended to the animal kingdom. Starting from a young age, Cindy hand raise countless baby animals, participated in dog shows, trained dogs, and rescued many animals of a variety of species.

Cindy was a person of many talents. She has done everything from banking and management to medical (patient care technician) to running a small business. She also loved making things by hand from blankets, clothes and accessories to window treatments.

Cindy will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace with her Heavenly Father.
