I have so many fond memories of my time spent at Alma College. Playing baseball under the tutelage of Coach Klenk are some of the fondest. He was a great coach, but even a greater human being. The Alma College family was lucky to have him.

Coach Klenk inspired all of us at Alma College. He was a coach, mentor and friend to thousands at Alma through the years, myself included. Prayers for all his family. We look forward to honoring Coach at Alma in the months ahead.

You'll be missed Uncle Bill! I'll always remember Bill as a fun loving "cool uncle" who made family gatherings more fun. Fond memories include sitting on his lap as a little kid, feeling special at Alma basketball camps, and random run ins at restaurants while I was in college myself. Thanks for being a cool uncle, and making little interactions feel special.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Kari, Steve, Kristi, Ginny and all his family & friends. Sharing a picture of Bill, Elaine and Kari who were gracious enough to make the trip to Minnesota for my wedding in 2004. Rest in Peace Uncle Bill.

I was so fortunate that Coach Klenk agreed to coach our women’s basketball team my last two years, 1986 and 1987. His funny sayings and smoking cigars were just a few of the memories that will forever be with me. Still to this day I use his “day late and a dollar short” saying :) So grateful for him! Rest in peace Coach <3

Coach Klenk, the Man, the Coach, the Mentor. Those phrases describe Bill Klenk. However, all of us who have been influenced by Coach have many profound memories that built our character. His monitoring helped all of us to become better men and Coaches in our own right. Bill Klenk will be surely missed as He was Alma College. God bless you Coach and thank you.

I had the privlege of being coached by Bill in all three sports at Alma College, football, basketball and baseball. He was an excellent teacher of all three, and there was no better competitor. After retirement Bill worked tirelessly for Alma College. We lost one of the truly great ones! He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Coach. John Fuzak '70

Coach was a tough, no nonsense guy on the football field. He pushed those offensive linemen everyday. A big reason why we won those MIAA football championships. I can still remember him working All American center, Doug Nikkila, on the boards pushing the blocking dummy. “Come on, Doug, dig, dig, dig! Dig big, Doug, dig”! He was a true gentleman off the field and a great role model for all of us. You got your wings, Coach! Love from the Wilson brothers to Ginny, the kids. and his Alma College family. Keith Wilson ‘75

Coach influenced so many lives in so many ways. He was a coach, educator, mentor, friend, always there with an encouraging word and sound advise. He was there for me as a student, Alma athlete and when I returned as V. P. of Advancement, once again he was there. Thanks Coach, you will never be forgotten. You made a difference in this world.
