Obituary of Robert W. McGill

Robert W McGill, 90, of Ocala passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at West Marion Hospital in Ocala.  He was born March 15, 1930 the son of Leon and Irene McGill.   Robert was a native of Walnut Grove, Missouri and moved to this area from Texas in 1984.  He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service which included overseas duty in Korea during the Vietnam War as well as duty in Turkey.   The beloved father of four sons, he was also a proud grandfather to Kathleen, Kelly (daughters of first son Robert), Kevin, Cierra, Serena (children of son Steven and Patricia), David Anthony, Alex, Se Mi, and Leon Morgan.   He also has several great grandchildren.  He loved jazz music.  He attended Queen of Peace in Ocala and was also a member of the VFW Post 4781 Angela Santos.      

Survivors include two of his four sons, David McGill, and Roger McGill.  

Robert is predeceased by his wife, Frances McGill; his parents; his two sisters Edith and Lu, and by two sons, Robert and Steven.
