I’m so sorry to hear of this great mans passing. I had auto shop with him at Newton South. Not only did I learn skills from him that I use to this day, but also an appreciation for automobiles that maybe I never would have had without him. He definitely made my life richer, a great man.

Marie, Cindy and Clint,
I am so very sorry about Big Clint's passing. I was just told after hearing of Bob Kings Passing. He was such a great guy. He was always so good to all of us kids in the neighborhood on Elmwood Street. I used to call him Mike Brady. I miss those days so much. He and all of the other Elmwood dads had a big part in making our childhood so much fun. I think of all of you often. I will keep you all in my prayers. Rest in peace Clint. Give Cheryl a big hug for me.
Take care

Dear Mrs. Rumrill and Family,
I was saddened to learn of Clint’s passing. I worked with Clint at the old Vocational High School and the new Vocational High School for probably over 25 years. Clint was a role model for both students and teachers alike. He had this tremendously wonderful work ethic. And he was a good part for the reason that the Vocational mechanics shop had a great reputation.
He was punctual and most days arrived 1 hour before school even started! He had very few sick days. He’d pitch in on a minute’s notice to help out. He was a master mechanic and often shared helpful hints to his students for analyzing and diagnosing mechanic issues. No repair would leave his shop until the job was done right and was complete. He had a knack for caring and guiding his students.
The Waltham Vocational students as well as the entire faculty was blessed to have Clint for the final years of his career. We have a lot of respect for you Clint! And to Mrs. Rumrill and Family I offer my deepest condolences.

He never turned his back on anyone.

I’m so sorry to hear this. The Rumrill family has been a part of my life since I was a small child. I bought my first car from Clint in the mid 1970’s. He always serviced that car to keep me safe, too. Rest in the sweetest peace, Clint. Oh, and I still own that car.
