Uncle Rick was a soft spoken gentlemen with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He would always tell us jokes and make us laugh. I enjoyed drinking a cup of coffee together while he read the morning newspaper and watched the birds eating out of the feeders he had set up for them when I was on vacation visiting he and Cha Cha in Lupton, MI. I felt his love and acceptance when I married into the family. Although Uncle Rick was a man of few words he accepted my talkative personality and we always gave each other a handshake and a hug every time we greeted each other and said goodbye. We shared some great conversations, laughs and made some wonderful memories. Thank you Uncle Rick for touching my life with yours. You will not be forgotten and will be greatly missed. I don't say "goodbye" but "see you later" in Heaven!
Love forever,
Steven Morabito

We moved in next door to Rick and Anita about 5 years ago in Lupton. Rick always knew what the weather held and loved sharing it :). He was such a nice man and I enjoyed talking to him while he smoked dinner outside and I let our dogs in and out. He let us look at our cabin before we bought it so my parents could see it. He gave us a tour and I will never forget how it helped make our decision knowing we had such friendly neighbors. I will miss both Rick and Anita this summer. Much love. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

One of our last times we visited Uncle Rick Up North. Rick was a good man that was more than an Uncle to me! He Blessed my life with his Love, Generosity and Great sense of Humor. He took me into his home in Rochester Hills and I lived there with him and my Cha-Cha for 3 years during a hard time in my life. In the years to follow I spent time with them in Florida and Up North. Many memories that will not be forgotten, he will be greatly missed & remembered fondly. No more fighting over the last of the Ice Cream Uncle Rick! Love forever, Renee

He was like a Father to me and will be greatly missed. I am glad I have many great, fond memories of time spent with him in Florida and Lupton Mi. To this day, he made the best Barbeque spare ribs I have ever eaten. He was a good chef, a great golfer and a very wise and loving Man. There is now, and always will be a large piece of my life missing with Rick gone. Love and miss you "Uncle Reeks"

Rick and I met during our first weekend at WMU in Sept. 1962. We became best friends and roommates at Western. On some weekends Rick would take his New York buddy to his home in Detroit where I met his wonderful parents, sister and brother.
When I was getting married, Rick was to be my best man, unfortunately he was serving his country and didn't think that he could attend.
To my shock, and great joy, he showed up at the wedding! He is my son's God Father.
After many years apart, he and I found each other a few years ago.
I love him like a brother and will miss him terribly.
Chuck O'Donnell.
