I met my buddy Irene at Camp Kiwanis. We had so much fun every summer as Camp counselors. I learned a lot about life, friendship and of course boys. Irenie taught me to drive. I can still hear us singing off key to We are Family and Brandy. You introduced me to my husband Don and for that I’m forever grateful. You were always so giving and upbeat. I met Irene when I was 12 through my sister Debbie Lattin. Irene quickly became like a big sister and family to us Doyle’s. I saw her 3 weeks ago where we shared an embrace and a whole lotta laughter and love. She truly had the kindest heart, always willing to give of her time or an ear for all who knew her. I will miss my sweet friend...but I know she is so happy to be reunited with her parents. She missed them so much. Until we meet again Irene...Thankyou for all the love and smiles you gave so freely❤️

God, take good care of my dear friend Irene! She was a priceless treasure! I really can't believe she's gone... because she was always so full of life! Every time we'd visit Ocala, she & our other friends would turn our homecoming into a big celebration. Whether sharing an amazing meal at Latinos y Mas, or a mediocre lunch at that other restaurant, or joining the band onstage at the Elk's Club, we always had the best time walking down memory lane together & creating new memories & new friendships, too. Friends like Irene are a rare find. I will so miss my "style guru" in green & her Facebook presence. Heartfelt condolences are sent to Leslie, George, Tony & their families along with prayers that God will bring you peace & comfort during your time of loss.
