Obituary of Dennis F. Niemira

Dennis F. Niemira, 77, of Ocala passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala. Dennis was a native of Buffalo, New York and moved to Ocala in 1998. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1961 and first stationed at the 872^nd Radar Site in Constantina, Spain. Here he met his loving wife of 56 years, Eulalia (Eu) Niemira. While serving as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician Dennis spent time serving in Italy and Korea, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 36 years of dedicated service from the 107^th Air Refueling Wing. In his spare time Dennis enjoyed being with his wife raising his two sons while being a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America, cruising 46 times, collecting stamps and donating his time to American Red Cross & Advent Health. A devoted father of Dennis and Patrick (Julie) Niemira, loving grandfather of Shawn (Brittany) Niemira and Justin Niemira and loving great grandfather of Benjamin Niemira.  He was the dearest son of late Frank Niemira and late Lottie Niemira.  He was the dearest brother of late Jim (Judy) Niemira, also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins residing in the US as well as his loving family abroad in Spain. US Air Force military honors will be rendered at approximately 2:00PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 followed by a prayer service starting at approximately 3:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL, 34481. The visitation will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.
