Obituary of Fernando Costa
Fernando Costa, 68, of Ocala, Florida passed away suddenly in May 31st in his home. Fernando was born on January 25, 1952 in the town of Moreiras, district of Chaves, Portugal.
Fernando and his wife Mabilda Costa immigrated to Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1982 to build a better life. Fernando worked for the Department of Public Works for many years. Briefly after retirement, Fernando and his wife moved to Ocala, Florida in 2018. Fernando was always looking for a new adventure and one of them was muscle cars. He became a muscle car enthusiast and enjoyed building and restoring them... It was a passion him and his youngest son Michael shared. He spent most of his day on cars and making improvements to the house. He was a master of all trades.
Fernando served in the Portuguese Marines, where he served many years for his country... He spent time in Angola and in the providence of France.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored. He was the best dad in the world; hard at times but what good dad isn’t?....
He put everyone before himself and his calm demeanor always setting everything at ease. He was supportive and your biggest cheerleader, always pushing you to do better... He will forever be missed and loved...
Fernando is survived is survived by his wife; Mabilda Costa, his two sons; Michael and Tino; his three grandchildren; Michael, Jacob and Liam, his two sisters, brother and many nieces and nephews.
