I worked with Officer Mark Battle for a few years. My sincere condolences to you Dawn. Mark loved you so much and he used to talk about you and his daughter all the time. Mark taught me so many things in life, he taught me how to be a good Policeman, to care for people, to be happy on the job, to help others anytime I could. He was an incredible man, extremely happy to help others anytime he could. Mark would stop eating himself to give others his food, that's the kind of person he was. Just like Dawn, I will miss his laughter as well. There is no doubt in my mind that a person like Mark Battle is in heaven with God, laughing about the good times he had here on Earth. He will be waiting for you Dawn and for all of us when the time comes. Until then, Let's be happy, let's care for each other, and enjoy our time here because you don't know if tomorrow will come.
========> OFFICER MARK BATTLE, REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. WE WILL SEE YOU SOON <============

Mark and I served in the US Army together during the cold war in the 1970’s. We were close buddies and shared many experiences together during our military service. We reconnected 35 years later and It was as if no time had passed at all in regard to our friendship, love, and respect for each other.
Mark was always able to uplift everyone’s spirits in both good and bad times. He was one of the most giving, caring, and honorable men I have ever had the privilege to be a friend of.
I will deeply miss you my brother!
I know you are home now and are the newest angel in Gods Army.
Greg Pierce.

You know how much Mark loved you. He loved sharing old times with you and in Marks eyes you were his brother.
I loved listening to him talk on the phone with you. He always enjoyed it and was uplifted every time. He truly considered your family his family.

I have lost my brother in Christ, Mark Battle. It was a great pleasure of me knowing Mark. So many good memories of my brother. It was a honor baptizing Mark as he was starting his walk with Jesus. I know for sure I will see him in Heaven.
Dawn we are here for you. Please don't hesitate and call us if you need anything or want to talk. God bless.
John 14:1-4 (English Standard Version)
I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life
1. “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Mark always attributed you to helping him find his path with God. It was an honor for both of us to be baptised and he considered you a true friend. He had highlighted in his bible what you have written here. Thank you for being a good friend. Thank you and your wife for reaching out to me at this difficult time.
