Obituary of Lillian Claire Nadeau
Lillian Claire Nadeau, 103, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2020 peacefully at Buffalo Crossing Rehab, The Villages, Florida with her son Richard by her side.
Lillian was born on February 2, 1917 in Berthierville, Quebec, Canada. She was the eleventh of thirteen siblings and the last surviving child born to Napoleon and Blandine Blais. She and her family moved to Manville, RI when she was two. She was married to Marcel A. Nadeau who proceeded her in death in 2004 after 66 years of marriage.
She worked most of her life in the textile industry as a cloth inspection supervisor and raised her two children, her surviving son Richard Nadeau of The Villages and her daughter Dianne McGrath who passed away in 1994. She is survived by two grandchildren - Gina Campagnone of Cumberland, Rhode Island and Christopher Campagnone of Smithfield, Rhode Island
Lillian was an accomplished seamstress and loved to crochet. She loved playing card games, bunco at numerous recreation centers in The Villages. In recent years she loved playing bingo and making jigsaw puzzles with her best friend Jane MacEllven at Buffalo Crossing Long Term Care.
Due to the virus … a funeral mass will be held at an appropriate time at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wildwood and her burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
