I always loved playing golf with my uncle Doug and aunt Jan. When they moved down to Florida, it was always an awesome time whenever my dad and I could get on the course with them. I’ll always remember the battles my uncle and I had out there, no matter how far I hit it past him lol. I can imagine he’s already signed up to play 18 with the likes of Arnold Palmer and Payne Stewart up in heaven. I love you and miss you uncle Doug!!! Hit em straight up there.

Janet, I was saddened to hear of Doug’s passing. I always looked forward to Monday morning so I could ask him if he played. I already knew the answer and it didn’t matter what the weather was like! He always played and usually was working on a new swing tip that he had just read about somewhere. Didn’t matter where the tip came from he wanted to master the game. Maybe now he will. Laurie and I are thinking of you. Be well, Jay Johnston
