Obituary of Alma Ruth Underwood

Alma Ruth Underwood, daughter of James Ballard Underwood and Mary Malinda Grubb, was born on April 16, 1924 in Martel Community, Loudon, Tennessee and died April 6, 2020 in Ocala, Florida.  Alma graduated from the Fort Sanders Hospital Nursing School in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1945.  She married Robert Lee Peck on January 17, 1948 in Kankakee, Illinois.  They were married 51years before Robert's death in 1999.  Alma is survived by her brother Jack Underwood(Nancy),three daughters, Marcia (Mark) Swanson, Sheila (Richard) Arnold and Diana Tagliarini, and grandchildren Andrew Swanson, Gregory Swanson, Phillip Arnold, Angela McMullen, Ashley (Brent) Dorman, David Arnold, John (Erin) Arnold, Angela (Charles) Bridges and Michele Tagliarini. and eight great grandchildren.

Robert and Alma were longtime members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Ocala, Florida. Memorial services will be held at a future date.
