Obituary of Sharon Conway
On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Sharon Conway, loving wife of Laurence Conway, passed away unexpectedly at age 69.
Sharon was born on February 19, 1951 to James and Regina Brunhuber. She grew up in Carl Place, New York and graduated class of ’69 from Carl Place High School. On October 14, 1989, she married Laurence Conway. They were married for 31 years.
Sharon was a strong and talented person with a long history in the restaurant industry including Apple Annie’s and The Brass Monkey in Westbury, NY. Later she and Laurence would open Oil and Vinegar, a gourmet deli also in Westbury. Sharon’s cooking, baking and entertaining skills were legendary. A 15-year resident of the Villages, Sharon was an avid golfer and grew champion orchids.
She is survived by her husband Laurence; brother James Brunhuber (Adrianne) and niece Allison; stepchildren Larry Conway (Susie) Suzy Brown; grandchildren Christopher, Brendan and Caitlin.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Regina.
