Mr K. was a great teacher; the best! He brought out the most in his students. He was somebody you wanted to do good for; to impress, to be able to talk science with when you were not in his class. I was not required to take chemistry my senior year but I did take it to simply be in Mr. K’s class! He made a difference in my life. I will always hold a special place for him in my heart (and my head).

Mr kersey was a guy that always had a smile on his face. He was stern but kind and always fair and I always saw the love in his eyes for his wife. They were my track coached and loved my time w them. I also remember them both at church in a fond way. May you Rest In Peace. God bless.

Mr Kersey was the best teacher. He made learning fun. I remember if we got burned using the bunson burners we owed him a candy bar. Many students including myself would hold in our ouches so we didn't have to. Prayers to his family.

Tim Kersey was one of the first teachers at Telstar who welcomed and mentored me. He was a teacher's teacher and always exhibited so much enthusiasm for learning. A kind and gentle man who always made me feel valued. He influenced so many young people over the many years of teaching and was a great example of what it means to be a loving and devoted husband and father. Thank you Tim and Judy.

Tim made a contribution in Bethel by touching so many young lives with his values, concern, support and life lessons. In our small community we were so lucky to have his family and the positive influence that they have made.
I remember when the book the The Raven was published ,Tim and I Spoke about the event of 1941 and the horrendous impact on Rumford when the community came together to pick up the pieces.
His life experience and insight was appreciated by many in our community.

Mr. Kersey! He could barely stand my gum chewing in class, but he was a great Chem and Physics teacher. I still remember his "magic" trick of pulling out the tablecloth.

I’m am saddened by the passing of a wonderful man and friend. Tim made my transition from 8th grade to Gould Academy easier. I was lucky enough to have him as s science teacher my Freshman year and again for my Senior year at Telstar. Tim was passionate about sharing his love of Physics. Tim and Judy allowed their son David to hang out with us when he was a pre-teen. One of my favorite memories was when David scored a pig during the pig scramble at The Waterford fair and convinced us to let him bring it home to his parents at their Paradise Road home. Fun times at the Kersey house!! My condolences to Judy and family. Sending love.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Judy and family. Mr. Kersey was one of my favorite teachers. He was my teacher the first two years at Telstar. His motto “Physics is Fun”. And he made it that way. Making rockets and shooting them off. Later I taught in the same district with him. He always had a big smile on his face.

I worked with Tim for thirty years at Telstar Regional High School in Bethel, Maine. He was uniquely talented as a teacher. I admired his work and his always positive attitude. He passed on to his boys that same positive approach to life. I was privileged to know him, his wife, and their children. After I retired from teaching high school, it was Tim who saw me one day and suggested I might want to apply to the University of Maine at Augusta's site in Rumford/Mexico to teach U. S. history. I applied and got the position. If it hadn't been for Tim, that opportunity would never have existed for me. He was a special man.
