Jim,
I was so sad to hear of Shannon's passing. It had only been a few days before that I had been telling a story involving Shannon. I have such good memories of her. She was a good person and a good friend. My heart goes out to you and to all who loved her. God bless.

Dear Jim,
As I sit here reading ADN with my brand new PWD puppy (our 3rd) helping, I remember so well Shannon’s and my early morning walks with Micah and later Amos on the coastal trail. (We lost our PWD Orca last November and decided we have one more puppy in us.) I was so sorry to see you folks move to Florida not the least because of the absence of Shannon’s and my continuing talks on those walks about all of her selfless activities, which were a concrete model for me in my retirement. My sincere condolences. Monica

Debbi Turner Van Ette posted a condolence

My deepest sympathy to Jim and family and especially to Tracy. For many years Shannon was a member of our Turner family. She was cherished and loved. From reading her obituary I can see that she led a rich life and gave generously to her community and church. One of my favorite stories about Shannon was one from her Alaskan life when she climbed a tree to escape a visiting bear. Another was her near death escape when her plane went down after take off and she fortunately landed in nearby tree tops. And her little dog, Damien, that she loved so so much in those long ago days.
I was so sad to hear of her illness and know she must have endured a lot in her last days as you endured with her. May she Rest In Peace. I wish you all comfort and joy in many fond memories of your lives together. Debbi
