Dearest Janet,
I was so sad to see you left us, when I was searching for your phone number, and I saw that you have gone to be with Jesus in Heaven.
My prayers are with you and your loving Mother and I know you are in God's grace, along with your loving father, Thomas.
I will always remember and cherish our friendship, all the days we worked together in High School, at the A&P, and all the good times we shared throughout the years. I posted some photos of the trip we took in 1986 to Ireland with your folks and I will always appreciate the great times we shared. God bless you my friend. Love, Patty

I will always remember our friendship and how much we had in common. I especially remember Christmas Eve in 2018 when you and your mom came to my house for dinner. It was so nice of you and your mom to share such a special time with my family and me. I will of course remember and honor your strength and courage as well as our cards, text and talks as you battled this terrible disease.

Janet, the bravery, acceptance, kindness, dignity and grace that you demonstrated throughout your illness was truly remarkable and serves as an inspiration for all of us. Your devotion to your mom was without reservation. You were God's gift to your parents and because of you, a family was formed and a house became a home.
May the road rise up to meet you

I remember dear sweet .Janet as one of my first friends here in The Villages. I remember, in particular, a trip one night, riding with her in her red and black golf cart on a scavenger hunt with the SBBS singles’ group. She looked so young and vibrant that night - filled with laughter and hopes for a happy life in The VIllages. I will always see her that way.
I remember how often Janet planned her activities around those of her Mother, how she used beautiful scroll font on her emails, and how excited she was when she finally had her own pool built in her backyard. I remember her kindness and strong sense of family, her laughter, her piercing chocolate brown eyes, her thick New York accent – “LONGH ISLANDA.” – and her stories of travel and adventure in her work at a high-end cosmetics company. Janet didn’t want to travel as did I; she said she had had enough travel for work. She had seen the world. She was a homebody, content to enjoy everyday activities with her Mom.
I will also remember Janet’s refusal to pity herself and the way that she withdrew from others during her times of suffering. Only once or twice did I see the impact on her when I visited. I know it must have crushed her to give back her beloved dog, Barney, as she grew weaker. God must have sent another to re-rescue Barney at the same time that Janet left us. My prayers for peace, dear Janet. May your Mother’s pain grow less and may we all meet again on the other side. We loved you and will miss you forever.
