Obituary of James T. Fann Jr.

James “Jim” Fann passed away on January 24, 2020 in Ocala, FL. He is predeceased by his wife, Lori.

James was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He was able to travel to most parts of the world during his 30 years with the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was in many management and leadership roles in Non-commissioned and Officer Clubs. Later doing training as Dean of Aircraft Maintenance School. James and Lori moved to Dunnellon, FL 21 years ago and until Lori’s stroke were both active in the social environment at Spruce Creek Preserve.

ames is also predeceased by his parents, JT and Bernice Fann, and brothers Dan and David Fann. He leaves behind brothers Paul and Mike Fann.

There will be a visitation on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services – TimberRidge at 10:30am followed by a service at 11:00am. He will be interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family recommends that donations be made to the Hospice of Marion County, Legacy House.
