Obituary of Barbara Libbey Wood

Barbara Libbey Wood, 87, of Belleview, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019. She was born on January 11, 1932 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Erwin and Edith (Dionne) Libbey.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her late husband, Jim. Barbara attended Crossroads Church and was a volunteer for Hospice of Marion County at the Belleview Thrift Store for almost eight years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim, three brothers (Richard, Raymond, and Erwin Jr), and three sisters (Hazel, Rose, and Shirley). Barbara is survived by her daughters, Debra A. (David Rice) Jewell, Ocala, FL, Gerri Mansfield (Richard Reed), Saxtons River, VT, two sons, Donald H. (Lucy) Jewell, Ocala, FL, Brett A. (Kelly Ann) Jewell, Midlothian, TX, sister, Dorothy (Reino) Bergquist, Chester, VT, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview. A committal ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
