Lillian, Larry and Lynn,
Sincerest condolences for your loss. Leonard was such a nice person, who supported his children wholeheartedly. Though it's been many years since I had Larry and Lynn as students, I still recall fondly his dedication to family.

I had the opportunity to work with Len for a number of years at Syracuse Developmental Center. Len was the Chief of Service for my area and one of my responsibilities involved finding alternative work environments for the disabled individuals in our care. Len was always encouraging us to dig deeper and try harder to find inclusive settings where individuals could demonstrate their capabilities and not be limited by their disabilities. He encouraged us and gave us the resources we needed. To his credit, under his leadership, we created the first fully integrated worksite for individuals with disabilities in New York State. It was at Anaren Microwave in East Syracuse New York. It was recognized by the Commissioner of our State Office and by Mario Cuomo, then governor of New York. This is only a small part of his legacy. Len was a champion for those with disabilities and tirelessly worked to bring about positive change. He had a generous heart, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor. I am very sorry for your loss. He was a good man. Dave Palen, Skaneateles New York

Lillian and family, I am so sorry for your loss ! Len was such a kind man who was so proud of his kids. He'd tell stories about the kids when we were together at Becky and Mike's home for Memorial Day or Labor Day gatherings!! I am thinking of you all and so sorry!
