Obituary of Edward John Erksa, Jr.
Surrounded by his loving family, Edward, 85, left this life on Dec.18, 2019, at the Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, Fl..
Edward was born in Pittsburgh, PA., to the late Edward & Frances Erksa. Ed was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the Army Corps of Engineers. A talented artist, he painted what he loved – the sea, the sky, and nature. He was a member of the VAA, Hope Lutheran Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by Polly, his loving wife of 65 years and his daughters: Linda Kane (Michael) of Hawthorne, Fl., Sharon Erksa and Judy Erksa, both of The Villages, grandchildren: Carrie, Eddie and Niara and Finn Delilah, a great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis, of Charlottesville, VA.
The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, 32159, on Dec. 27, 2019 from 10:00 am -11:00 am. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Internment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL.. Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com
