Obituary of Edna (Lamb) MacMorris
Edna (Lamb) MacMorris, 90, passed from this life Tuesday, December 10, 2019, with family at her side. Born in Middletown, OH during the Depression, she was one of fifteen children of the late Robert and Opal (Strong) Lamb.
Edna was married to her husband (“Mac”) and exceptional matriarch of five children, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She also managed a branch bank for Wells Fargo in Bernardsville, NJ. She was particularly kind, welcoming of new experiences, and strong of character. She was an avid Buckeye fan, travelled extensively, and established family traditions that already carry down to the third generation.
Edna and Mac moved to Summerfield, FL from Elizabeth City, NC in 2004, where she became a member of North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake. After her sudden loss of sight 7 years ago, her dignity and unique determination to persevere was an inspiration to many.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 69 years, John “Mac” Alexander MacMorris; children: Douglas John MacMorris (Nan), Donald Leigh MacMorris (Suzanne), Deborah Ann Boyer (Norman), David Mark MacMorris (Anne), Dean Eric MacMorris (Regina); grandchildren: Rachel, Gwyn, Joshua, Sean, Ryan, Austin, Jacquelyn, Jillyan, Jenna; great grandchildren: Hannah, Wrenley, Avery, Leighton, Emersyn; and brothers: Russell Lamb (Ada) and Floyd Lamb (Patricia).
A Celebration of Life will be held at North Lake Presbyterian Church 975 Rolling Acres Road, Lady Lake, FL in January of 2020.
