Obituary of Ann Spinella
Ann (Magnani) Spinella went to be with the Lord December 1, 2019. She was born in Scranton, PA on Oct. 29, 1935. She moved to Miami, FL in the late ‘50s, then moved to Williston in 1985 finally settling in Silver Springs. Ann was employed at Renstar Medical Research in Ocala, FL where she worked for over fifteen years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Spinella; her parents, Charles (Carlo) and Rose (Mineo) Magnani; four sisters Mary (Mineo) Arcadicona (Tom), Carmela (Mineo) Karluk (John), Angie (Mineo) August (Joe) and Rose (Mineo) Baldacci Paris) and three brothers George Mineo (Freda), Sam Mineo (Katherine) and Joe Magnani (Marilou).
She is survived by her son, Phil (Kathy) Spinella Jr. and daughter, Debora Spinella; sister, Marie (Magnani) McIntyre (Joe); brother, Frank Magnani (Nancy); seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service at 3:00pm. Family and friends will gather from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Italian America Cemetery Scranton, PA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to Moffitt Cancer Center (12902 USF Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
