Obituary of Shirley Smith Watson
Shirley Smith Watson, 83, of Silver Springs, FL passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Brandley Hospice House after an extended illness. Shirley was born in Jacksonville, FL. She worked as a head bank teller for most of her life with Barnett Bank, Flagship Bank, and SunTrust Bank. Later she worked for Good Housekeeping Gas Company in which she officially retired and moved to Orange Springs, FL in 1993.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pam Green and husband Tom of Jacksonville and Tonya Pogue and husband James of Ocala. She is also survived by three Granddaughters, Wendi Boyett of Atlanta, GA, Joanna Coston (Blake) of Tampa, FL, Lauren Pogue of Ocala, FL; one grandson, Trevor Pogue (Jessica) of Ocala, FL; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Emerson Boyett of Atlanta, GA and Drew Coston of Tampa, FL. She was preceded in death by husband Earl Franklin Watson of Ocala, her parents, Timothy and Frances Wheeler of Georgetown, FL and her sister, Carol Ann Fenn of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, December 6, 2019 at The Lighthouse Church of Orange Springs, formerly known as the First Baptist Church of Orange Springs.
