Obituary of Louis Cutrie

Louis Cutrie, 88, of The Villages and Cicero, New York passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2019.  Born in Ogdensburg, NY, he was the son of the late Charles Michael and Mary (Barnes) Cutrie.

 

Louis was a Navy veteran and was employed by the Niagara Mohawk Power Co. for 35 years.  He lived most of his adult life in Oneida, NY.  After his first wife, Vera Mae died in California in 2001, Louis returned to Oneida.  A couple of years later, Lou met Dolores (Dee) ballroom dancing.  In 2006, he remarried and then moved to Cicero

 

He and his wife Dee have been snow birds in The Villages since 2009. Lou enjoyed playing guitar, golf, dancing and a good game of cards. 

 

Besides his parents and siblings, Louis was predeceased by a son, Louis F. Cutrie and step-son, Ronald M. Procopio. He leaves his beloved wife, Dolores L. (Loveall) Cutrie; a daughter, Sheila Masuda (Chris); a daughter-in-law, Ellen Cutrie; step-sons, Michael Procopio and Philip Buddie (Jen) and eight grandchildren; Jennifer and Thomas Clinch, Jr.; Kelly Masuda (Adam); Matt (Anne) and James (Monique)Masuda; and Caleb, Taylor and Noah Buddie; and also nine great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cicero UMC, Cicero, on Dec 7, 2019 at 1 PM.  Memorial gifts may be sent to Cicero United Methodist Church, or The Shriners Children’s Hospital.  Interment will be at North Syracuse Cemetery, at a later date.
