Obituary of Jack H. Garwood

Jack H. Garwood, 94, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully under the care of Brandley Hospice House on November 9, 2019.  He will be dearly missed.  We will never forget the twinkle in his eye.

Jack was an US Army veteran of WWII, and served as a concentration camp liberator of Buchenwald.  He earned his degree in engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.  He had a long and successful career with US Steel Corporation.  

Jack is survived by his wife Nancy; children Scott Garwood, Jack Garwood, Jr., Buzz Garwood, Tammy Weger, and Jodi Garwood; step-children Susan Douglas, Kevin Crabb, Jeffrey Crabb, Gregory Crabb and Darin Crabb; and many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by son Kip Garwood.

US Army will render honors at the graveside service Mon., Nov. 25, 2019 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL
