Obituary of Joann Hawks Peters

Joann Hawks Peters, 59, of Summerfield, became an Angel on November 12, 2019. Joann was born on June 25, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to this area from Miami, FL in 2006.

Joann was a loving grandmother, mother and wife. Her 6 grandchildren were her pride and joy. Joann will be remembered most for her kind heart. She loved to help people the best way she could. She was free spirited and despite hardships, she maintained a beautiful outlook on life. Joann’s Family and Friends were truly blessed to have such a beautiful, kind and loving soul in their lives.

Survivors include her husband, David; her son, Robert; and daughters, Nikki and Julia; her precious grandchildren, Destiny, Jacob, Jenevieve, Bradley and Sophia; and her sister, Karen and brother in-law, Steven.

Joann is predeceased by her grandson, Ryan Wade Martinez.

She will be truly missed and forever in our hearts.
