Obituary of Sarah Goodwin Wightman

Sarah Goodwin Wightman, 82, of Summerfield, Florida passed away November 10, 2019 at West Marion Community Hospital, Ocala, Florida. She was the wife of the late Wesley Wightman who preceded her on April 11, 2016.

Sarah was born in Wadley, Georgia a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Goodwin. Prior to her retirement she worked in a Georgia factory and after moving to Summerfield, FL she worked in the food industry.

Sarah is survived by son, Walton Morris of Jacksonville, FL and a daughter, Gwen  Wood of Macon, GA.  She was the grandmother of Jennifer Wood of Macon, GA, and was great grandmother of Molly Bates of Macon, GA and has several nieces and nephews.

Sarah enjoyed square dancing and traveling with her husband in the days that his health allowed. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughter and being the best “Granny Sarah” anyone could ask for.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Lady Lake United Methodist Church.  Inurnment will be at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
