Rest In Peace, my friend. You worked hard all your life and were such a devoted care giver for your mom. Women Marine Limited Duty Officers have you to thank for their careers…you would not take “it’s against policy” for an answer, and became one of the first women to move to LDO from Warrant Officer. Will always remember our out-of-country jaunts to Mexico (I TOLD you not to drink the water!), Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Dover Castle, and staying in a castle in Wales.
Rest In Peace…until we meet again…and hug Gordie and Bill for me.

I had the privilege of serving with Major Potts in 1975 at Marine Barracks, Newport, RI when she was a W01 in charge of the Admin Dept. It was my first duty station and I had a lot to learn. She was a dedicated Marine Officer who always put her men first and always went the extra mile. She brought out the best in each one of us. She was the epitome of what a good leader should be. The time spent with her taught us all valuable lessons not only about the Marine Corps but about life as well. She was good people. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. I pray that she is at peace in the Lord's presence. Thank you Ma'am and Semper Fi.
