Obituary of Albert John Moresco
Albert John Moresco, age 87, of The Villages, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to the late Crestina and Joseph Moresco. Albert attained the rank of Sergeant in the Marine Corps. His active duty was from 1949-1953, participating in the Korean War and the Battle of Incheon. In 1957, Albert graduated from Alfred University with an engineering degree while playing QB for some of Alfred’s finest football teams. In the 4 years from 1954-1957, Alfred posted a 26-3 record finishing the final 2 years with 15 consecutive wins. Albert proceeded to work in the steel industry for the next 40 years.
Albert (don’t call me Al) is survived by his daughter Judith and son-in-law William Davidson and 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Albert Jr. & Melissa, Jeffrey, Christopher & Karen and Matthew & Michele. “Nonno” had 12 grandchildren Jessica, Amanda, Maryann, Genna Beth, Mario, Christopher, Sergio, Crosby, Genevieve, Chase, Matthew, Macie & 2 great grandchildren Mia & Eleanor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Genevieve Moresco.
Plans are being made by the Moresco family for a Celebration of Albert’s Life at a location in The Villages at a future date and time. Albert’s & Genevieve’s cremated remains will be placed in a columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery.
