Obituary of Jessee Woods, Jr.

Jessee Woods, Jr., age 84, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2019, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Jessee was born December 22, 1934 in Huddy, Kentucky to Jessee and Ida Woods.  He served in the United States Navy, and upon the end of his enlistment moved to Ocala.  He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church - Cottonplant.

He is survived by his daughter, Margaret Reaves, Grandson David Reaves and his wife Jennifer, and Great Granddaughter Morgan Reaves, all of Ocala and his sister, Bethel Slater of Tavares, Florida..

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Woods and his son-in-law, Andy Reaves.  Also preceded in death by brothers Floyd Woods, Ernest Woods, and Clyde Woods and sisters Flora Bethel and Cora Staten.

Visitation will be at Hiers-BaxleyFuneral Services, 910 Silver Springs Blvd at 10:00 am on Thursday September 19.  Prior to Funeral Service at 11:00 am with Pastor Shannon Harris officiating.  Burial will be at Southern Home Baptist Church in Citra.  Fellowship with refreshments will follow burial at Southern Home.
