Obituary of Angel Michele Parker

Angel’s Life began July 1, 1981 in Queens County, New York City at Jamaica Hospital.  Angel lived in Queens until her teenage years relocating to Ocala, FL in 1997 with her mother, sister and two brothers.  Angel attended Forest High School and Central Florida Community College before going back to New York.  In New York Angel discovered her passion for applying makeup and attended cosmetology school in Manhattan.  After graduation Angel spent two years at the school as an instructor.  She then volunteered a year with volunteers in Service to America (AmeriCorp VISTA) working with the “American Red Cross” She traveled to several states providing relief to hundreds who experienced disaster’s from hurricanes, storms, flooding and fires.

When Angel decided to be her own boss there was no stopping her.  Angel returned to Florida where she attended Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, after graduation she freelanced for several cosmetic companies.  Once she became bored with that she started Angel Michele Hair and Makeup.  When her business began to thrive Angel opened her own salon in Jacksonville and had several assistants.  She and her assistants would travel as far as Orlando and South Georgia sometimes covering as many as three weddings a day.  To be able to provide more specialty services Angel went back to cosmetology school in Orlando and graduated in June 2019.

Angel was again working for AmeriCorp VISTA with the “First” program which is a S.T.E.M program introducing young students to Robotics.  Her goal was to empower girls to grow up knowing with determination they can overcome all odds to follow their dreams. 

On the afternoon of August 31, 2019 Angel’s battle with cancer ended in peace.  For all who knew her she left lasting memories.  Angel is survived by her Mother Ann Johnson Parker – Ocala, FL, Father Alvin and Stepmother Juanita Garrett – Chester, VA, Brothers and sisters Trina, Anthony, Desiree, Jarell, Shayla, Jo-Ann and John, Stepsisters Chanel and Ashley,  Grandmother Irene M Johnson – Cambria Heights, NY, Aunt Sharon Johnson – Ocala, FL, Aunt Rochelle Davis – Lauralton, NY, Uncle Herbert Williams – Tampa, FL, Nieces Xylia and Zuri, Nephews Andrew, Alexander, Andino, Jarell Jr, Rymelo, Chase and Parker, Cousins Sahara, James, Lawrence, Julian, Sisters Erin and Myra, Godchildren Nelson, Javen and Tajulian.  Also left to celebrate her life are other relatives, numerous extended family members and friends.
