Obituary of Jack R. Mertz

Jacob was born March 14, 1935 in Jamaica, NY; died September 4, 2019 in The Villages, FL.  He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).  Jack faithfully served our country in the US Army.  He and Joan moved to The Villages in 2000 from Long Island, NY.  He is survived by his beloved wife Joan of 27 years; son James; daughter Patricia; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Memorial will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 8:30 AM at St. Timothy’s Church.  Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center.  Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
