Obituary of Edway Bryon Hodgson, Jr.
Edway Byron Hodgson, Jr. passed away August 24, 2019, at the age of 93. He was born in Jamestown, Kansas on October 23, 1925, to Edway, Sr. and Mamie Hodgson. He was preceded in death by his wife Martha.
Ed entered in the Army Air Corps at 17, where he was a navigator and flew with his crew on a B29 Bomber. After the service he finished his education at The University of Kansas, where he received his BA. He received his Masters in numerous summer institutes. He taught Jr. High and High School, and at Pasadena Jr. College in Pasadena, California. He was a football and basketball coach and science teacher. He taught 35 years until he retired in 1980, at that time he moved back to his beloved Kansas.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Bowles (Guy) and son, Glen Byron Hodgson (Wendi). He had 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, which he loved dearly.
