Obituary of Marjorie Udell Lydia Dencker
Marjorie, age 93, passed from this life and into eternity on August 20, 2019 at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida. She was the widow of Lawrence William Dencker. They shared 64 years of marriage together.
Born in Howard, SD, Marjorie was the oldest daughter of William and Wilhelmina Hahn. She attended Madison Teacher’s College and worked as a teacher for grades 1st-8th in one large classroom. She and her family moved to Florida in 1957 and lived in Jacksonville, Quincy, Auburndale, Boynton Beach, Lake Wales and Ocala. She was a stay at home mother for years and also worked as a church and school secretary at Trinity Lutheran in Delray Beach, FL.
She was baptized into the Christian faith as an infant and was a member of a LCMS Lutheran Church all of her life. She delighted in attending church with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She served in many volunteer positions in her churches and took it as a great honor to pray for others. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and her prayer time. She will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her loving smile and her devotion to her Lord, Jesus Christ, her husband and family.
Marjorie is survived by six children; Dennis Dencker (Ming), Debra Wilkinson, Jae Avenoso (Michael), Renee Elliot, Steven Dencker (Angela), and Lisa Adair (Mark). Her 16 grandchildren are Larry Dencker (Joan), Tara McKinney, Ross Dencker, Carrie Dencker-Young (Ciera), Camie Dencker, Kristen Wilkinson, Katie Porter (Mike), Michael B Wilkinson (Jennifer), Karla Cavalier (Justin), Andrew Avenoso (Amanda), Nicholas Dzuirkowski (Jessica), Eric Dzuirkowski, Kyle Dencker (Heather), Amanda Silva (Pete), Katelin Hodge (Antonio) and Kenneth Adair (Jessica). Her 26 great-grandchildren are; Lydia, Hailey, Morgan, Toby, Darby, Micah, Julia, Carson, Tyler, Alyssa, Sarah, Mikayla, Olivia, Stella, Marcus, Silas, Leo, Claire, Adaline, Evelyn, Hannah, Olivia, Julia, Anastachia, Dezmond and Lillian.
Marjorie was predeceased by her infant son, Terry Lee, her Mother, Father and sister Marlys, her beloved husband Lawrence, son-in-laws Sam Elliot and Michael Wilkinson.
Services to remember the goodness of God in her life will be arranged by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, the service will be at St. John Lutheran Church’s Grace Place on Sunday, August 25th at 3:30 p.m with visitation one hour prior. 1915 SE Lake Weir Rd., Ocala, FL 34471.
