Obituary of Mary Wanda Sabol
Mary Wanda Sabol, age 84, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Born in Coral Gables, Florida, on August 14, 1934, she was the second child of the late Herbert and Frances Ward Henderson. Her brother, Herbert, was the first. Always known as Wanda, she helped care for her two younger sisters -- Charlotte Ann Mooney (James) and Sue Carter (Joe), until she married the love of her life, John W. Sabol, Sr., in 1952.
Wanda's husband and family were the center of her life. She and John had two children,
John W. Sabol, Jr. (Patricia) and Marilyn Jamison (Mark). During her life she became an accomplished Registered Nurse and was listed in Who's Who in Nursing.
She is survived by her two children, her sister Sue, four grandchildren (David Sabol, Courtney Mills, Erik Sabol, and Chris Teel), and four great grandchildren (Hayden Mills, Ashlyn Mills, Connor Teel, and Hunter Sabol). Her family will forever hold her in their hearts as an amazing wife and mother, who will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, Florida, on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, beside her husband, who passed away on September 29, 2009.
