Brad - We are so sorry to hear of Sara's death, but we knew her for many years when she was well and we all had so many good times together, we will always remember the days with your dogs and going to CCI events and so many lunches and dinners, we really did enjoy our time with both of you ...
Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you; my phone number is the same as it was from the 90's so no problem :o) ... I will send you our address again but I do send a card at Christmas every year, but I think Sara was in charge of all of that ... I hope you will be ok, I have been widowed myself in my earlier life, so I do know what that loss is like ... you are a strong person and everyone loves you so you will be surrounded by good people I am sure of it ... God bless you and we'll talk to you soon, we will see you in Jan or Feb next year when we go south, until then we love you and we loved Sara and the dogs also, God is with you -
Love, Karen and Ed Busch, old friends of yours xo

Dearest Brad, I am heartbroken for you as you and Sara were such a team! Sara enhanced my life. She brought joy into my heart. I shall always recall the many many many times we laughed until we cried! Sitting next to her at the computer, we were often one brain and four hands... of course, she was really the brain, and I was the clown... but so often we said the same thing at the same time! And we laughed - real belly laughs! I so enjoyed the private lunches she and I shared at your villa, and I am sorry I retreated from your lives as I have done with so many others after my husband's passing three years ago. Brad, I hope you are stronger than I have been in carrying on without your beloved! Gratefully, I have tons of wonderful memories of Sara! I will always see the special mischievous twinkle in her eye, her beautiful smile, her lovely countenance ... and forever hear her laughter!
All my love, Ruth Ann

I worked with Sara way back in the late '70s and early '80s at SSS. She was a blast to travel with and was a genuinely kind person who had a lot more tolerance and patience than I did! I'll miss her, and especially her always reliable birthday greetings.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Sara through the VAA and the newsletter. I sent her information on several things for the newsletter and always asked about her puppies and several times I included pictures of our French bulldogs.

I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. I got to know Sara through the VAA. The first time I tried to submit an article and she promptly informed me there was a deadline. She was a wonderful lady. She brought some micro mosaic pieces and we had a great time talking about them. Bless you and your family at this time.

I’ve known Sara Ellen since elementary school. She was the bravest and nicest person ever known to me. After many years I ran into her and Sir London at a high school reunion. What an amazing woman. She contributed more to the world than ever could have been imagined. She was a exceptional person. My condolences to you Brad and to the rest of your families.
Sincerely

We shared a few "firsts" with Sara (and Brad) that enriched our lives.
Bennie was the first service dog we raised, She was smart and spoiled rotten but had just the personality Sara was looking for in a dog. Thank you Sara!
We went to our first CCI fund raiser at Sea World during a hurricane.
Thank you Sara!
When we ordered Bananas Foster at a local restaurant it came with a fire extinguisher via an inexperienced waiter!
Thank you Sara.
Through her life example, Sara touched so many people her light will never go out.
Our sincere condolences to Btad and the her family.

In my earliest memories (nearly 50 years ago), Sara has been my Aunt Casey. She was the sister my Mom (Jane Raker) never had. Then married to my uncle, her smile, contagious laughter, and unbridled zest for life have been an ensuring memory for me.
It's a shame we never really say the things dearly admired about someone until they're no longer around to hear them, but I admired her very much and pray for Brad has he continues in this difficult and new norm of life. I know Aunt Casey would have encouraged it. Blessings to all.

Brad, I happened on this while scanning the computer. I am so sad for you.
I have known Sara since fourth grade. We passed by over the years with me always in Columbia and of course she was all over the world.
In high school we were inseparable, a call in the late afternoon went something like this: Can you get your car? Sure I'll pick you up in a minute."
Those evenings were spent at Bell's Drive in 90% of the time we usually got a 15¢ Coke. Then we'd ride around town through the newest subdivisions and imagine we'd buy one of those houses eventually.
We graduated together in our Blue AC Flora robes not realizing that the rumor you were to wear only your slip and not outer clothes was false! THEN the realization that the gowns had to be returned that same evening.
We then went to business school. I hated it, Sara was immersed in it. Her class took her to the first IBM computer in town, a 1401 that filled one whole room!! She soared away from that point to the heavens and more.
Brad, please accept my sincere condolences. The world is smaller today without my friend "Casey"

We met Sara in the 90’s when Ronnie and I travelled to Ohio to get Ronnie’s first service dog. We have been friends ever since... we were struck by her courage, strength, feistiness and incredible warm heart. We enjoyed our yearly visits to Florida. Sara and Brad always welcomed us into their home.We are grateful to have known Sara. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brad and her family. I am sure she is with Bennie and Sir London. Bennie is probably taking her cap off her head.

Brad-please accept our condolences. You may not remember us- I painted the large flower painting that is in your home. We are so so honored to have known Sara and learned many life lessons along the way. She was such a special lady.
We pray that we have all been blessed with just a little of Sara’s strength and passion for life.
Thank you.
