Please accept my heartfelt condolences to your family. 1 Corinthians 15:25, 26 says "For he [Jesus] must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing". At Revelation 21:4 it says regarding Jehovah, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Finally, take courage in the hope of the resurrection promised at Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

Dear Joan,
Mona just let me know this sad news. I am so sorry to hear that George passed away. He was a good man and will be missed.
Mona and I always enjoyed seeing and talking with George. And as you know, George always let you know where he stood on any situation or topic. That was one of the things I really liked about him. He was himself all the time and you knew where things stood.
And when it came to the Orioles, it was good to have a fellow fan to commiserate with. I still have the magazines and pictures of the Os that George gave me. That meant a lot to me that he would give his Orioles memorabilia to me. I really appreciated that, and I will pass them on to the right Orioles fan when my time comes.
I'm so glad I had a chance to know George. Life was richer when he was around.
I know you miss him, and I hope you are getting comfort and strength from hearing from your family and friends. I will pray for Peace to come quickly so your memories will come without heartache, and so you can smile and even laugh about memories of good times.
Our hearts go out to you.
David
