Obituary of Sarah Jeanette Oglesby

Sarah Jeanette Oglesby, 72, who was living with her loving grandson, James K. Oglesby, in Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Alive Hospice. Sarah was born in Adel, GA, and was a former resident of the Marion County area. She was a retired Customer Service Representative for the food industry and enjoyed spending time with her family whom she cherished very much. She loved to collect Barbies, spend time on the computer, and was a jokester. Sarah was a survivor; she beat the likes of breast cancer because she was strong-willed, sassy, and determined.  Sarah is preceded in death by her husband James L. Oglesby, parents Frank and Nellie Moore, brothers James and Willie Moore, sisters Catherine Page, Racheal Moore, and Peggie Griffin, and grandson Matthew Pyeatt. Those left to keep her memory alive include son Frankie Oglesby and wife Shirley of Madison, TN, daughter Laura Pyeatt and husband Harold of Damon, TX, son Eddie Oglesby and wife Ginny and granddaughter AnnaLyese of Murfreesboro, TN, sister Pauline Pilcher of Ocala, FL., brother Jimmy Moore of Hemphill, TX, and sister Opal Chambers of Hemphill, TX. Sarah was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will be having a viewing on Friday April 12^th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with her celebration of life service starting at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend and share in celebration of her life with the family. The interment will take place at the Kendrick Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, James.
