Obituary of Anastasia Lucille Taranto

Anastasia “Stasia” Lucille Taranto, 97, of Leesburg, Florida passed away March 9, 2019 at Avante at Leesburg, Leesburg, Florida.  She was the wife of the late Bartholomew Taranto.

Anastasia was born in Danvers, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Angela Szczepanek.  Prior to her retirement she was a nurse caring for people in nursing homes. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Community, The Villages, FL.

Anastasia is survived sons, Ronald Piwonski of The Villages, FL and Phillip Piwonski of Danvers, MA and daughter, Dorothy Ewart of Swansea, MA  She has 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aries Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159 on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 8:30 AM followed by interment in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
