Dear Gephart family,
I am very sorry for your loss. A scripture that encouraged me very much when I have lost loved ones in death is Isaiah 25:8. It says “He will swallow up death forever and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from all faces.”

Jeff,
Lis just told me of Sue's passing. You must be devastated. I hope that her passing was peaceful.
Like you and Suzanne, Lis and I have been married almost 50 years. After loving and living together for that long, living solo is incomprehensible!
All my best wishes to you and family,
Ted Jeffries

Suzanne had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen in my life. It was as if she could see right into you, past your shortcomings and all the way to what you could be if you reached your potential.
I was shocked to hear of her death. After seeing her struggle for years with so mnay surgeries and so much pain, so many close calls and brushes with death, it seemed like she had finally reached a respite. When she moved to Florida I missed her company, but realized that she was experiencing a well-deserved life of enjoyment there.
For 25 years I relied on her teaching. She explained to me how to behave as the mother-of-the-groom, how to get grand-babies to imprint on your face and voice, how to get patients to comply with postoperative instructions, and how to design a cosmetic clinic that would attract patients. She instinctively knew what appealed to people's emotions and how to motivate them.
I am so grateful that she coaxed me into wild undertakings. She took me and my teenaged daughter, Elizabeth, to the Sables outdoor hunting and survival seminar in Wyoming. She wowed me with her skeet-shooting accuracy at Drummond Island. My first visit to a Yooper hunting camp was courtesy of Suzanne - she made sure I was comfortable - but I still don't know where it was located. And the wild and woolly Chicago Holiday trip with Suzanne and Laurie (the shopping pros) was totally unforgettable.
Message to Ann: Don't assume that someone you rely on will be around forever. Now I just have to carry on. I hope I absorbed enough of her teachings to last me for the rest of my life.

Jeff, Lori and Family, the events of the past week, have left us devastated and filled with indescribable sadness. The world has lost one of its brightest lights. Through everyone's love, her light will continue to shine in our hearts and minds. We had so much fun last summer on those occasions when you folks came out to the lake. Suzanne was always full of life and mischief. She was a great Mom to her boys and that was always on full display whenever they were around her. She was also a great Gramma to our shared grandchildren. She loved them so much and the feeling was mutual.
Tina and I have held you all close to our hearts these last several days and we have prayed that you will be able to find comfort in the love and support from those around you at this difficult time.
Love you Guys
Tina and Terry

Dear Jeff and boys
Gayle and I just heard and are stunned.
Words are inadequate for such great and unexpected loss.
Suzanne was such a vibrant and giving person, gifted, bright, energetic, involved, kind ...
It is with disbelief that we try to comprehend her passing.
Our prayers are offered for you and for her, you are in our thoughts.
Our deepest and heartfelt condolences.

Dear Jeff, Derek and Matt and Family
Peg and I were saddened to hear of your loss. We didn't really have a lot of opportunity to get to know Suzanne, but we so enjoyed our visit out at the Powell lake camp this past summer with you folks. Suzanne was certainly a vibrant personality. She will be sorely missed by all and it appears that her legacy in the Marquette area will be one of fondness.
Sincerely
Peg and Paul Anderson

Jeff, Derek and Matt - there aren't enough words to say how sadden Louren and I,
Louren Jr, Peter and Cariannne are to hear Suzanne passed away. It's hard to believe it was 30+ yrs ago but I have many, many memories of doing fun things with her when we lived in Marquette, not to mention the countless times we met in town for "a quick cup of coffee" which turned into at least an hour! We still have and use the humongous bowl you gave us for Christmas which she filled with popcorn especially for Louren, and I still have some of her hand written recipes. Years ago I had to buy a Marshfield's Cookbook because it featured recipes and pictures of the Walnut Room where we ate lunch every time we went on our Chicago shopping sprees because we spent the entire day in the State Street store, memories I recorded in the cookbook:) She had beautiful handwriting and after we moved she wrote me the best notes and letters. Everyone from Marquette is shocked and sadden as are we. We pray you find comfort knowing that Suzanne touched so many lives in so many ways. Hugs, Louren and Judy

Suzanne And Jeff were some of the first folks Martin, then later, I got to meet in Marquette. Suzanne and Jeff were very kind to us both! As a young woman, and newly arrived to the Marquette area, Suzanne inspired me to get involved with various charitable organizations. This was a great way to make a difference and get to know folks. She was wholeheartedly enthusiastic about the charities she was involved in. We did a few activities together, then I spun off and got into some of my own as well. I am grateful to her for her inspiration.
Later, when Martin and I became parents, after our girls came along, Suzanne was always kind, and would always ask after them. She shared comical and wonderful stories about: the adventures she had with Jeff, her guys, their gals, and finally her grandchildren! I enjoyed our chats, and missed her ‘spark’ around Marquette when she and Jeff started wintering in Florida. I do remember her enthusiasm for ‘The Villages’ and her friends and lifestyle there. She seemed very happy, and it was a good fit!
Suzanne was more than my ‘beauty consultant’. She was a delightful person, and my friend. God Bless you, Suzanne, and your entire wonderful family.

I have many fond memories of my cousin from when we were kids. Suzanne spent alot of time at my house when we were growing up. She was more like a big sister than a cousin. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid when she and Jeff got married. I wish we had lived closer to each other as adults. I always enjoyed her company when we were able to get together. For those of us who loved her, she is already missed dearly. I will forever cherish the memories of my beautiful cousin Suzanne.

Jeffrey and family, my sincere and heartfelt condolences on your loss of Suzanne. I only knew Suzanne for a couple of years through The Duffettes and Samba but always enjoyed her lovely company and conversation. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out and definitely full of life. As someone who lost a spouse many years ago I know that there are no words that will make you feel better right now. My hope for all of you is that the love and support of family, friends, and community will help you navigate the rough waters ahead.
Peace and prayers,
