Please accept my heartfelt condolences to your family. 1 Corinthians 15:25, 26 says "For he [Jesus] must rule as king until God has put all enemies under his feet. And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing". At Revelation 21:4 it says regarding Jehovah, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Finally, take courage in the hope of the resurrection promised at Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

My Uncle Raymond was a good egg. He had talents. He could make things, and fix things, and tell a story, and make people laugh. He would make the effort to show up and often he would bring something good, like a pot of swamp cabbage or a cooler full of ice cold oysters. And regardless, everyone was glad to see him. I was always glad to see him. As a kid, I rode behind Uncle Raymond on a motorcycle (as a recent photo reminded me), and shot at beer cans for quarters. The last time he was at my house, he fixed our clothes dryer and left us some fresh shrimp. He was always sweet to me, and I loved him. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Aunt Joan, Sarah Mae, Travis, Corrine, Poppy, Grandmommy, Mom, Uncle Pat, and everyone else who loved and cared for him.
