Obituary of Robert Thomas
Robert L. Thomas, was 81 years old, born on October 6, 1937, in New York City, N.Y. Robert peacefully passed away on February 18, 2019 at Hawthorne Village Health and Rehab in Ocala,
Florida.
Bob, as he was known by friends and relatives, was the son of Frank L. and Gladys Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley K. Thomas of Ocala, FL; sons, Joseph Thomas (Amanda) of Tallahassee, FL; Jeffrey Jackson, of Deltona, FL, and Dirk and Tate Thomas; brothers Alan Thomas, and Frank L. Thomas, III of Spring Hill, FL, and Patricia Dailey (Gary) of Boise, Idaho;
Grandchildren, Brandon Thomas, Brooke Thomas, Justin Jackson and Antonio Jackson, and several nieces.
Bob was an attorney for 36 years and retired in 2005. He served his church as a deacon in Apopka, Florida. He enjoyed working out with weights and spend many hours a week in the gym. Bob played football for Florida State University, and loved his Seminoles. He was a Seminole booster and season ticket holder for 30 years.
Bob loved to laugh and have a good time, had a great sense of humor, and quick wit.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the On Top Of The World Activity Center’s Event Room, 10070 SW 94th Street, Ocala, Fla. 34481.
