Obituary of Alex Uzonyi

Alex Uzonyi, 83, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019.  Alex was born in Flemington, NJ and moved to Ocala in 2000 from Flemington.  He was a truck driver for Penske trucking and was awarded numerous safety awards.  He was a US Army veteran, 82^nd Airborne.  Alex was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on cars and mowers.  He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2010.  He is survived by two sons, two grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7pm on Monday, February 18^th at Hiers-Baxley funeral home in Ocala.  Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 19^th at the funeral home, and burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Ocala.

Memorials can be made in Alex’s name to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
