Obituary of Constance Doris Kuehn

Constance Doris (Shannon) Kuehn Gibson, 83, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Legacy House in Ocala after a brief illness. Connie was a native of Lynn, Massachusetts. After graduating from Lynn English High School, she moved to Miami, Florida in the early 1950’s. She was employed and retired as the Assistant Vice President after 30 years of dedicated service to Coconut Grove Bank in Miami. Connie and her husband Homer were members of the Miami Elks Lodge 948 and Dade Moose Lodge 1825 Miami. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, West Dade Chapter 1472, South Miami American Legion Auxiliary #31 and President of the Eastern Airlines Retirement Association of Central Florida. Connie was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Kuehn of Miami, Florida and the late Homer Gibson Jr. of Ocala, Florida. She was the sister of the late Noreen Mageary of Lynn, MA, the late Natalie Moore of Miami, FL and the late Isabel Ballou of Falmouth, MA. Connie is survived by her beloved nieces Pamela Moore of Spartanburg, SC, Patricia Sylvia of Boston, MA and Nancy Allan of Denver, Colorado and her dear nephews John Moore and Wally Blu Rollins of Belleview, FL; and dear friends John and Judy Sheets. A gathering to celebrate Connie’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481. A memorial service is scheduled at 12:30PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17^th Street, Ocala, Florida 34471. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park, Miami, Florida at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Connie’s name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
